City of Zion Unreal Deathmatch

City of Zion is a four player death match level for unreal tournament 3 created for a level design assignment. I designed the level layout, using pen and paper sketches and photoshop, and build a whitebox of the level. Through iterative design and playtesting I managed to combine the best bits from the sketches, resulting a fun level according to lecturers and students.
Alongside the level I wrote a document about the design process, which was praised by the lecturers. To view the full documentation as PDF, click the button on the right.
Documentation
Afterwards two teams of artists choose to build the environments for the level based on the whitebox. This resulted in two visually different levels which both can be seen in the YouTube videos on the right.
The images show early sketches, screenshots from the white box, and changes made as a result of playtesting.
